Amiee is a 12-year-old girl who suffers from Parks-Webber disease. The disease, which affects all blood vessels and ultimately the heart, is so uncommon that Amiee is only 1 of 12 people in the United States to have been diagnosed. Amiee’s parents do all that they can to provide for her, but are financially strapped due to her severe medical needs. Amiee will now have a nice bedroom set to relax in when the fatigue from her illness overcomes her, thanks to Roomful Express and the 50 Years, 50 Families program.

LeeAnn Spanos lost her husband this past May due to a long battle with medical problems, leaving her to raise four children on her own. LeeAnn and her husband did the best they could to provide for their children, but her husband’s declining heath forced their family income to severely suffer. The furniture LeeAnn currently has consists of hand-me-downs that are many years old. Roomful Express and the 50 Years, 50 Families program will provide LeeAnn and her children with new bedroom, living room, and kitchen furniture.
