Mercedes Bates is a single mother of two children. Mercedes faced many economic struggles being layed off of her previous job due to budget cuts and has found it difficult to make ends meet. Mercedes also found it difficult to for a stable home at one point as she one day received unexpected news from her landlord stating she had to move due immediately and lost furniture essentials during this transition. Staying strong for her children, things took a turn for the better Mercedes was just offered a part time job with a school board and the Bates family was selected as one of our 50 families!
