Barbara Parrish is a single mother and is unable to work due to the fact that her son, Preston, has a medical condition- Sickle Cell Disease, and must be caring for him full-time due to constant crisis situations. Barbara also has her 8 year old grand-daughter who lives with her. The Parrish family was in need of many basic furniture essentials in their home for their bedrooms and living room especially. The Wayne Barton Study Center nominated the Parrish family and they were selected as one of the recipients for the Community Relations Campaign!
