The Sanchez Family

Julia V. Sanchez, a single mother is raising her 2 children on her own and is the main provider for them. She is a patient of Family Health Centers of SW Florida and her children participate in the “Quest for kids Health” program where they learn how to eat healthy, and stay healthy. Julia manages to bring the children to our program monthly, and although she uses public transportation, she does not miss an appointment, even if it’s raining! Julia mentioned to one of the educators for the non-profit organization: “I don’t have much, just the essential basics to survive! all I want is to provide for my children. I want them to be healthy, happy, and getting a good education.” With the help of her handwork and determination, Family Health Centers nominated Julia and her family for El Dorado Furniture’s 50 Year/50 Families Community Relations Campaign where they were selected as one of the recipients of new furnishings for their home!
