Esmira Duran is the main guardian of her grand kids, Angel, 7 years old and Jaime Escobar is 6-year-old. This family of 3 lives in a small one bedroom apartment. The family has faced some hard challenges as the boys struggle with school as they have a learning disability and the home was in need of home furnishings as Esmira was sleeping on a mattress over 18 years old and the boys slept on an old oversized bunk bed. The Leadership Learning Center partnered with El Dorado Furniture for the campaign and this family was selected as one of the recipients for El Dorado Furniture’s 50 Years/50 Families Community Relations Campaign!
